The Philippine Internet Commerce Society (PICS), with the support of giants of the local IT Community such as PLDT, BPI, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, MyAyala, BPI Card and HSBC, and Web Philippines, Inc. (the online media partner), organized the 1st National E-Commerce Congress last November 20 to 22 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City.

The event, with the theme, "Making Business work in the NOW Economy", was managed by Fiera de Manila. It featured several activities designed to stimulate and sustain the growth of the Philippine IT Community: 3-day E-Commerce Conference; 3-day Exhibition on
E-Commerce/IT Products, Services, Solutions; e-Government Awards Night, PICS Networking Night, Corporate Presentations; Product Launch & Demonstration, and Free Internet Surfing for its whole duration.
